CLOUD MEMORIES

The day wakes,

Soft and smudged and empty.

Waiting,

To be lived

And loved

And to be filled,

With the happiness of happenings.

That will leave a stain

In my heart,

That will still be there

When I look back

Thirty years from now.

And remember,

How I loved you,

When I was

Still young

And the world was new.....

To me.

That's made me feel the most calm I've felt all day. Thank you.

Thanks Steve.
I am not very good at poetry.
Geoffrey Hill has been elected the University of Oxford’s new professor of poetry and so I bought a book of his poetry to see what it was like.
All the reviews said he was amazing but I didn`t understand a word.
I HATE the Patience Strong kind of poetry but at least I understand with that what is being said!

An Irish Blessing

(A Blessing from St. Patrick)
May the road rise to meet you,

May the wind be always at your back,

May the sun shine warm upon your face,

May the rains fall soft upon your fields,

And, until we meet again,

May God hold you in the hollow of His hand.
