I AM BRAIN -FOGGED

I have Brain Fog.
Old story.
It is a fibromyalgia thing.
Nothing exciting.

I have short term memory loss.
I have been accused of not listening on the phone.
Which is not true .
After three sentences the words fall off the cliff of my memory and my memory starts over.
So when you spend 15 minutes telling me how wonderful you were in work today and how crap everyone else was, just remember that all I remember is the bit about your work mate with bad breath, the cheese and pickle sandwich you made for lunch and how bad the traffic was!
And NO I  cannot remember anything about the multi-million pound deal you closed !!!!!!!

As for names !
I have to store a name and photo in my phone just to recall you.
Ask my girls, I can only remember who their friends are when they tell me their name and where they lived !

I recently started playing memory games online!
They are so irritating, I would rather play Tetris which is something I play when I don' t want to think.
Plus I am trying to harness the power of Jane's Memory Palace but so far it is just somewhere new to store and lose information :(

What can I say ?
I am always losing my glasses, I can have 2 pairs on my head and still be searching for a pair.
I am ALWAYS looking for something !

But even with Brain Fog I can get Missy and I up and out of bed and washed and dressed and fed and at school  on time-ish every day!

And it is the autistic love of order and routine that keeps me going.
Missy's OCD ways have saved my brain-fogged life.
Like our guinea pig boys who are no longer with us , when Missy is hungry she will not be ignored.
She has a routine to her life like a  train that once in motion will not stop until all stages have been passed and all goals achieved.

Thank you my best girl for the gifts your uniqueness brings :)

An Irish Blessing

(A Blessing from St. Patrick)
May the road rise to meet you,

May the wind be always at your back,

May the sun shine warm upon your face,

May the rains fall soft upon your fields,

And, until we meet again,

May God hold you in the hollow of His hand.
